Others taking part were: Karen Siermachesky and Rob Sinyard, scripture readers Christine and Brian Skulski, intentions and Nicole Lichowit, eulogist. Augustine Roman Catholic Church, in Humboldt, celebrated by Fr. Larry is pre-deceased by his father Oleksa (Alec) Lichowit, his mother Stella (née Tront), and his wife Verna (née Hepp).Ī Funeral Mass was held for Larry on Friday, June 25, 2021, at 10:00 a.m. Larry will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by his partner Shirley Grayson his daughter Nicole Lichowit and her family: husband Rob Sinyard and their son Jackson Sinyard his brother Ray (Phyllis) Lichowit and his nephews, Douglas and Patrick Lichowit. They returned to Saskatchewan in 2010, settling in Regina. Larry met Shirley Grayson, his love, in 2002. Not being in Harry Potters year and the 19971998 school year being Harrys final year of education meant that Ritchie would also be returning to continue his. It was his dream to work for VIA, and he was proud to have accomplished it before he retired in 1990. In 1988, Larry moved to Kamloops, British Columbia, to finish his career with the railroad as a Conductor of the Via Rail Passenger Train which traveled to Jasper, Alberta. While in Humboldt, Larry participated in the community through the Lions Club, the Knights of Columbus, and he enjoyed curling. He married Verna (née Hepp) in 1955 and they had one daughter, Nicole. Dad finished school in The Pas in Grade 11, after which he signed on to the Canadian National Railroad, and moved to Humboldt, Saskatchewan, in 1951. Together, Larry’s brother Ray, his cousins Patrick, Bill, and Stanley, and family friend Larry, grew up like brothers.

His mother, Stella, his Aunt Kay, and close family friend Senoria, each took turns raising their six boys while the other two women stayed with the men on the Hudson Bay Railroad. From there, he moved to The Pas, MB where he lived with two other families in addition to his own. At the age of seven, he and his brother Ray went to the Goldbank School in Endeavor, SK. Larry grew up in remote northern Manitoba on the Hudson Bay Railroad. It is with sadness in their hearts that the family of Lawrence “Larry” Lichowit announces his passing on Wednesday, June 16, 2021, at Regina Wascana Grace Hospice in Regina, Saskatchewan.
